Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This policy explains what information LawyerAI collects when you use the service, how it is used, and the rights you have. The service is provided by EPINKO LIMITED, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

1. Information We Collect

Account information you provide (name, email address, a secure hash of your password or your Google account link), technical and usage data about how you use the service (session records, request times, IP address), and the content you submit (your questions, uploaded documents, and generated drafts).

2. How We Use Information

To provide the service, manage your account, enforce usage limits such as free-plan quotas, improve the service, keep it secure and prevent abuse, and communicate with you. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. AI Processing

To generate responses, summaries, and documents, the inputs you submit are processed by third-party AI (large-language-model) providers under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing the service and that prohibit using it to train their models. These providers may process data in the United States.

4. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and keep the service secure, plus one preference cookie that remembers your language choice. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Third-Party Services

Suppliers such as cloud hosting, database, file storage, and AI providers may access information only to the extent needed to operate the service and under contractual confidentiality obligations. Their servers may be located in the United States or the European Union.

6. Data Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices for our personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain data only as long as needed: your content and files until you delete them or close your account, and technical usage logs for 30 days. When you delete your account, your associated data (including conversations, documents, and files) is permanently deleted; records we are legally required to keep are retained only for the mandated period.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA): access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of or objection to processing, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by law. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@lawyerai.com; we will verify your request, respond within the timeframes required by applicable law, and never discriminate against you for exercising them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be announced on this page. If you have questions, contact privacy@lawyerai.com or use our contact page.
